About Anna
Psychologist with a heart for relationships and holistic, value-based treatment
My name is Anna Sørensen, and I am a psychologist with a Master's degree in psychology from Aarhus University.

My values
It is important to me that both my personal and professional life is value-based. I build my own life on Christian values. This does not mean at all that you have to be a Christian to work with me. But what it does mean is that my core values are charity, forgiveness and the unshakable value of the human being. People are so valuable that even if you behave inappropriately, you still deserve respect and recognition.
I believe that the way to a good life is a life where we value relationships to other people as much as our own well-being - because no man is an island. At the same time, I believe that the way to a good life is through meaning, not through symptom reduction. I believe much more in a meaningful life than a life of searching for fleeting pleasure.
Last but not least, I believe that people must be understood holistically, that is to say that body, mind and soul are inextricably linked. In practical terms, this means that I understand psychological problems as being mutually influenced by both body, mind and soul. For example it may mean that sleep problems may have a psychological cause or that depressive symptoms may be related to a biological imbalance. In my practice, I therefore try to have the whole picture in mind - not just the psychological.

As a psychologist, it is also important to me to prioritize high professionalism and that the quality of my services is assured. Therefore, I attend regular supervision, courses and get involved in professional communities. At the same time, I also go to therapy myself and do my best to develop both as a psychologist and as a person. I am just as much on a journey as you are.
